And Moses is a type of Christ, in whom God was manifested, delivering the Hebrew people and leading them to the promised land. And Amalek, well, he represents (one) the devil and any evil that rises against the people of God; he also represents the flesh.
So notice, anything that rises against the people of God, we find it represented there in Amalek, the enemy of God.
....................
Given that the Hebrew people approaching Mount Sinai and receiving God’s laws there represents the baptism of the Holy Spirit once every person has received Christ as his Savior and washed away his sins in the Blood of Christ: notice how the people fighting there, against Amalek, represents the person fighting, struggling, against the flesh, to obtain the victory and receive the Spirit of God.
.....................
But this goes even further, notice: it’s by looking at Christ on Calvary’s Cross, the hands of Christ lifted up on Calvary’s Cross, that the person obtains the victory against the flesh, and receives Christ as his Savior, and washes away his sins in the Blood of Christ, and receives the Spirit of Christ.
.....................
There lies the victory: in seeing Christ on Calvary’s Cross with His hands lifted up; that’s in order to obtain the victory and thus obtain the new birth, obtain the victory against the flesh.
THE PROPHET’S HANDS HELD UP FOR THE VICTORY..
