PROPHETS

HEBREWS : 14
Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

“For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God
knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.” We can see that in order to know the things of God’s mind, of God’s thought, the thoughts of God’s heart, the Spirit of God must reveal them at the relevant time.

And how does He do it? In Zechariah chapter 7, verse 11 and on, referring to the Hebrew people, who refused to
hear the Voice of God, it says: “But they refused to hearken, and pulled away the shoulder, and stopped their ears, that they should not hear. Yea, they made their hearts as an adamant stone, lest they should hear the law, and the words which the Lord of hosts hath sent in his spirit by the former prophets: therefore came a great wrath from the Lord of hosts.
GOD’S THOUGHTS EXPRESSED AT THE LAST DAY

And now, in Second Peter, chapter 1, verses 19 to 21, it also speaks to us, saying: “We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
