RESSURECTION

Now, at which time will the resurrection of the dead in
Christ take place? Saint John chapter 6, verses 39 to 40, says:
“And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of
all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should
raise it up again at the last day.”
When? At the Last Day, He will raise all those which the
Father has given Him, who are the people that have believed in
Christ as their Savior, and washed away their sin in the Blood of
Christ, and received His Holy Spirit.
Those people have the promise that if they physically die
(if their physical bodies die), they will be raised in eternal
bodies. When? At the Last Day.

In Saint John chapter 11, verse 23 and on, Jesus says,
when He went before the tomb of Lazarus… Martha was there,
the sister of Lazarus, who had also received the teaching of the
resurrection of the dead in Christ and who knew that Christ had
taught that the resurrection of the dead in Christ is for the Last
Day. And now, Jesus… it says:
“Jesus saith unto her,” (unto Martha), “Thy brother
shall rise again.
Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in
the resurrection at the last day.”
Because that is what our Lord Jesus Christ had taught:
that at the Last Day, He will raise all those who have believed in
Him and have physically died. Now, what does Jesus tell her?
“Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life:
he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live,”
(in other words, even if his physical body dies, he shall live),
“And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never
die. Believest thou this?
She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the
Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.”
Now notice, here Christ identifies Himself as the
Resurrection and the Life; and He says that he that believes in
Him, though he were dead, yet shall he live.

Now, it tells us that this resurrection of the dead in
Christ and the transformation of us who are alive is for the time
when that Last Trumpet will sound; and Jesus said it will be at
the Last Day, because the Last Trumpet will be sounding or
playing at the Last Day.
And now, what is that Last Trumpet? Let’s see in the
Book of Revelation, in chapter 1, verses 10 to 11, where we find
that Great Voice of Trumpet. It says:
“I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day,” (that is the Last
Day, the Lord’s Day), “and heard behind me a great voice, as of
a trumpet,” (there we have that Last Trumpet),
“Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the
last…”30 DR. WILLIAM SOTO SANTIAGO
And who is the Alpha and Omega? Who is the first and
the last? Our beloved Lord Jesus Christ. It is the Voice of our
beloved Lord Jesus Christ at the Last Day, on the Lord’s Day,
speaking to all of us on this Earth.
Now, in Revelation chapter 4, let’s see that Trumpet
speaking again. It says (chapter 4, verse 1, and let’s see the
things He promises to speak or reveal):
“After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in
heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a
trumpet talking with me,” (remember, it is not a literal trumpet,
but “a Voice as it were of a trumpet.” It is the Voice of Alpha
and Omega, the Voice of our beloved Lord Jesus Christ),
“which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which
must be hereafter.”
Now it says that we have to go up to a place: it’s the
place where He is. And He says:
“...And I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.”
What will that Voice as it were of a trumpet, which is
the Last Trumpet or Great Voice of Trumpet, be speaking? It
will be speaking the things which must happen after the things
that have already happened during these two thousand years that
have passed since Christ.
