THE NEED FOR REVELATION
Dr. William Soto Santiago
Thursday, July 2, 1998
Villavicencio, Colombia
Good evening, kind friends and brethren present here
in Villavicencio, Colombia, and all those who are listening by
radio, and also those who are present here. May the blessings
of Christ, the Angel of the Covenant, be upon all of you and
also upon me, and may Christ speak directly to our soul
tonight and reveal to us His Program pertaining to this end
time. In the Eternal Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
Let’s read the Scripture in Saint Matthew chapter 11,
verses 25 to 27, where it says:
“At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O
Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid
these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed
them unto babes.
Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight.
All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no
man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any
man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son
will reveal him.”
May God bless our souls with His Word and allow us
to understand It.
Our subject for this occasion is: “THE NEED FOR
REVELATION.”4 DR. WILLIAM SOTO SANTIAGO
There is a need in the soul of every person who lives
on this Earth, and that is the need to have and receive the
revelation from God: the Divine Revelation for the time in
which he has been given to live, in order to understand the
Divine Program that God is carrying out.
Now, for this great event of the Coming of the Son of
man, which has two parts (which are the First Coming of
Christ and the Second Coming of Christ), the revelation from
Heaven, the revelation of God, is required. Why? Because
this Divine Revelation has been hidden from the wise and
prudent; and that is how it is at this end time.
Notice what the passage that we read tells us here; it
says:
“...Because thou hast hid these things from the wise
and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.”
Who were the wise and prudent in the time of Jesus?
They were those great doctors of theology of the Hebrew
religion and all the other religious scholars of all the other
religions.
Now, notice how the First Coming of Christ, the
Coming of the Son of man as the Lamb of God to take away
the sin of the world, was hidden: He was among them, among
the Hebrew people.
“He came unto his own,” (the Hebrew people), “and
his own received him not,”1 because the revelation of the First
Coming of Christ, which was being fulfilled among the
Hebrew people, was hidden. And the revelation from Heaven
was required in order to understand the fulfillment of the First
Coming of Christ, the fulfillment of the Coming of the
Messiah; a promise that was fulfilled in a young carpenter
from Nazareth, in a young construction worker.
When God promises something great in His Word,
when He fulfills it, He fulfills it in a simple way.
1 John 1:11THE NEED FOR REVELATION 5
Now, this great event of the Coming of the Son of man
among the Hebrew people was the greatest event promised to
be fulfilled. And when that great event was fulfilled, its
fulfillment was so simple that the wise and prudent in
religion, meaning, in theology, in religious matters, such as
the Council of the Hebrew religion, made up of seventy
religious scholars, seventy educated men, with their
doctorates in theology, that group of the Council led by the
high priest—when the Coming of the Messiah was fulfilled,
they couldn’t believe that young carpenter from Nazareth was
the fulfillment of the Coming of the Messiah, and they
rejected Him.
They always tried to stop Him from growing in His
ministry, but when they saw that He kept growing and that
they could not do anything against Jesus… because the
people would see the signs and wonders that Jesus performed,
and they would hear His powerful Word; people wanted to
hear Jesus. But notice how religion, led by its great religious
leaders, rose against Jesus Christ and fought against the First
Coming of Christ.
And now, notice, the question is: “And will the
Second Coming of Christ, the Coming of the Son of man at
the Last Day, also be fought against by religions of this time
in which we live?” Let’s see if we have the time to look at
what the Scripture says will happen in the Second Coming of
Christ.
Now, let’s see what happened here in chapter 11 of
Saint John, verse 47 and on; it says:
“Then gathered the chief priests and the Pharisees a
council, and said, What do we? for this man doeth many
miracles,” (meaning, Jesus).
“If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him:
and the Romans shall come and take away both our place and
nation.
And one of them, named Caiaphas, being the high6 DR. WILLIAM SOTO SANTIAGO
priest that same year, said unto them, Ye know nothing at all,
Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man
should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish
not.
And this spake he not of himself: but being high priest
that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation;
And not for that nation only, but that also he should
gather together in one the children of God that were
scattered abroad.
Then from that day forth they took counsel together
for to put him to death.
Jesus therefore walked no more openly among the
Jews; but went thence unto a country near to the wilderness,
into a city called Ephraim, and there continued with his
disciples.”
Now notice how they see all the wonders that God is
doing through His manifestation in human flesh, in that veil
of flesh called Jesus, and then they want to kill Jesus; and
they also wanted to kill Lazarus,2 whom Jesus raised, to
undermine all the Work of God pertaining to the First Coming
of Christ.
Now notice how religion rose up—led by their
religious leaders of that time, it rose up against the First
Coming of Christ; but it was written that those things would
happen because the religious leaders of that time would be
spiritually blind and they would not be able to understand, to
see the First Coming of Christ; because they expected It
differently, and It came to them in a way that they did not
expect, but It came according to what God had promised.
And when God fulfills what He promised, that is
God’s interpretation of what He promised. It doesn’t matter
what may be the interpretation of the great religious leaders
or the theologists of the time in which God fulfills those
2 John 12:9-11THE NEED FOR REVELATION 7
promises; the important thing is the interpretation that God
gives it by fulfilling that promise.
Now, we can see that the revelation from Heaven was
required in order to understand the mystery of the First
Coming of Christ, of the Coming of the Son of man among
the Hebrew people, coming as the Lamb of God to take away
the sin of the world.
When it says in the prophecies that the people or
religion will reject the Messiah, then at that time there will be
great religious leaders who are blind leading the blind people;
and that is why they reject the Messiah.
That is why when those religious leaders rose against
Jesus, He told them: “Blind leaders of the blind. If the blind
lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch,” (in other words,
into the pit).3 And those religious leaders who could not see
the fulfillment of the Coming of the Messiah in Jesus were
spiritually blind, blind so that they could not see the
fulfillment of the Coming of the Messiah as the Lamb of God.
And if it was prophesied for that time that the Messiah
would die in the middle of the seventieth week,4 then there
had to be blind religious leaders who would not see the First
Coming of Christ; and those were the leaders who were
leading the people, religiously.
Now we can see that a revelation from Heaven was
required then, because those religious leaders did not have the
revelation, the knowledge, of the fulfillment of the First
Coming of Christ; therefore, a person would need a heavenly
revelation, from Heaven, sent to him, in order to see, to
understand, to comprehend, that Jesus of Nazareth was the
fulfillment of the Coming of the Messiah.
And there were people who received that revelation;
because from the teaching they had from the great religious
3 Matthew 15:14
4 Daniel 9:278 DR. WILLIAM SOTO SANTIAGO
leaders, people could not understand that Jesus was the
Messiah because those religious leaders were against Jesus of
Nazareth.
And now, notice how the revelation from Heaven
came to people who did not have the theological knowledge
that the high priest and the leaders of the Sanhedrin Council
had.
And now, it says in Saint Matthew chapter 16, verse
13 and on:
“When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea
Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say
that I the Son of man am?
And they said, Some say that thou art John the
Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the
prophets.
He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the
Christ, the Son of the living God.
And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art
thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it
unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.”
That Revelation came directly from the Heavenly
Father, because the Hebrew people didn’t have that
revelation; that revelation of the First Coming of Christ, His
Coming being fulfilled in Jesus of Nazareth, the high priest
didn’t have it, those of the Sanhedrin Council didn’t have it:
they didn’t have that revelation. That is why they said that
Jesus was a Samaritan and that He had devils,5 that He was
Beelzebub and that He cast out devils by the finger of
Beelzebub,6 and so on, that is what they thought about Jesus.
They didn’t have the revelation of who Jesus Christ was.
But Peter obtained it from Heaven; he couldn’t obtain
5 John 8:48, 10:20
6 Matthew 12:24; Mark 3:22; Luke 11:15THE NEED FOR REVELATION 9
it from here, from Earth, he couldn’t obtain it through the
Hebrew religion, he couldn’t obtain it through its religious
leaders, because they taught that Jesus was not of God; but
now, the revelation of the Heavenly Father came to Peter
from Heaven and he knew that Jesus was the Christ, the
anointed One, the Son of the living God, who had come to the
Earth in the fulfillment of the Coming of the Messiah.
And now Jesus tells him:
“And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and
upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell
shall not prevail against it.”
The Church of Jesus Christ is built upon revelation:
the revelation of who Jesus Christ is in each stage, in each
age, through the history of Christ, through the history of the
Word of God being fulfilled from age to age.
And now, the revelation from Heaven is required. That
is the revelation that was required in order to understand, to
see the First Coming of Christ being fulfilled in Jesus of
Nazareth.
Paul the Apostle says that he didn’t receive that
revelation from human flesh, but by Jesus Christ Himself;7
Jesus Christ Himself revealed it to Saint Paul and gave him
the revelation of Himself. And Saint Paul, who had been a
persecutor of Christianity, became a convert to Christ; and
then Saint Paul became one of the great apostles of Christ, the
greatest among the Gentiles (in past times), and he became
the apostle who obtained the revelation of Christianity for the
Gentiles.
And that is why Saint Paul talks about revelation, and
he says that God—He asks that God give us the spirit of
revelation;8 and that spirit of revelation comes from Heaven,
from God, to God’s sons and daughters.
7 Galatians 1:11-12
8 Ephesians 1:17-1910 DR. WILLIAM SOTO SANTIAGO
And now, notice how the First Coming of Christ was:
It was the fulfillment of the Messianic promises to be fulfilled
in the first part of the Coming of the Lord; because the
Coming of the Lord has two parts, which are: the First
Coming of Christ as the Lamb of God and His Second
Coming as the Lion of the tribe of Judah. And to be able to
understand the Coming of the Lord, both the First Coming of
Christ and the Second Coming of Christ, we need the
revelation from Heaven.
And now, notice how it was in past times. Now, God
had spoken through the Prophet Isaiah in chapter 53, and
asked:
“Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the
arm of the Lord revealed?”
Now, notice to whom the arm of the Lord had been
revealed: to those little ones, to the people who didn’t have a
religious education in theological terms; they didn’t have a
doctorate of theology, but they were the ones who received
the revelation from Heaven in order to see, understand, and
receive the First Coming of Christ, the Coming of the Son of
man, who was among them and carried out His Work of
Redemption on Calvary’s Cross.
Now notice how not everyone obtains the Divine
Revelation.
Many people try to obtain the knowledge of God
through the great seminars and religious institutions, and
through theology, but notice, we need to obtain it from
Heaven, by Divine Revelation.
The ones who obtained that earthly knowledge
through those great seminars and religious institutions among
the Hebrew people, when the time came, those people had
great doctorates of theology, of divinity, but they didn’t have
the revelation from Heaven of the First Coming of Christ.
And they rejected the Messiah in His First Coming, even
though they knew that the Messiah would come at that time,THE NEED FOR REVELATION 11
but they couldn’t understand the fulfillment of His Coming
because He came in such a simple way, such a humble way:
as a young carpenter from Nazareth; and they were expecting
a king in fine clothing, but they got a simple carpenter in
simple clothing, and that was the fulfillment of the Coming of
the Messiah, the Coming of the Son of man among the
Hebrew people.
Now, in chapter 13 of Saint Matthew, Christ tells
different parables, such as the parable of the sower; and when
He was telling that parable—which the disciples didn’t
understand, in chapter 13, verse 8, they asked Jesus privately
to explain that parable to them. Chapter 13 of Saint Matthew,
verse 9 and on, says:
“Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why
speakest thou unto them in parables?
He answered and said unto them, Because it is given
unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but
to them it is not given.”
Here we can see that Christ Himself says that to some
it is given to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven,
but to others it is not given to know the mysteries of the
Kingdom of Heaven. He says:
“For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he
shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from
him shall be taken away even that he hath.
Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they
seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they
understand.
And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which
saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and
seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:
For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears
are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at
any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their12 DR. WILLIAM SOTO SANTIAGO
ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be
converted, and I should heal them,” (in other words, “and I
should save them.”)
“But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your
ears, for they hear.
For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and
righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see,
and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye
hear, and have not heard them.”
What had the righteous men and prophets desired to
see and hear? They had desired to see and hear the Coming of
the Messiah: to see the Messiah coming, and they wanted to
hear the Messiah preaching; but the prophets of the Old
Testament did not have that opportunity, except for John the
Baptist.
And now, the disciples of Jesus Christ do have that
opportunity to see the fulfillment of the Coming of the
Messiah, in the first part of the Coming of the Messiah, which
is the Coming of the Messiah as the Lamb of God to take
away the sin of the world; and there, they were seeing what
the prophets had desired to see: the Coming of the Messiah
fulfilled in Jesus of Nazareth.
And they were hearing what the prophets and
righteous men of the Old Testament had desired to hear: they
had desired to hear the Messiah preaching and testifying of
the fulfillment of the Coming of the Messiah; but the disciples
of Jesus Christ were the blessed ones, because they were
hearing the Messiah preaching and testifying that this
Messianic promise was fulfilled in Him.
For example, in Saint Luke chapter 4, Jesus Christ
Himself tells us here, when He went to Nazareth, the city
where He had been brought up… And it says in chapter 4 of
Saint Luke, verse 14 and on (it says):
“And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into
Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all theTHE NEED FOR REVELATION 13
region round about.
And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of
all.
And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought
up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on
the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.
And there was delivered unto him the book of the
prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found
the place where it was written,
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath
anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me
to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the
captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty
them that are bruised,
To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the
minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in
the synagogue were fastened on him.
And he began to say unto them, This day is this
scripture fulfilled in your ears.”
And now, notice how Christ testifies that the Scripture
of the Coming of the Messiah had been fulfilled, which was
promised in Isaiah chapter 61; and He came preaching the
acceptable year of the Lord, He came preaching mercy from
God.
And now, we can see how that Messianic promise was
fulfilled in the first part of the Coming of the Lord, which is
the Coming of the Lord as the Lamb of God.
And now, when He testifies that this promise is
fulfilled, let’s see the reaction of the people who were hearing
Him on that occasion, in the synagogue of Nazareth, where
He had been brought up:
“And all bare him witness, and wondered at the
gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth. And they
said, Is not this Joseph’s son?14 DR. WILLIAM SOTO SANTIAGO
And he said unto them, Ye will surely say unto me this
proverb, Physician, heal thyself: whatsoever we have heard
done in Capernaum, do also here in thy country.
And he said, Verily I say unto you, No prophet is
accepted in his own country.
But I tell you of a truth, many widows were in Israel in
the days of Elias, when the heaven was shut up three years
and six months, when great famine was throughout all the
land;
But unto none of them was Elias sent, save unto
Sarepta, a city of Sidon, unto a woman that was a widow.
And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Eliseus
the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, saving Naaman
the Syrian,” (meaning, Naaman the Syrian General).
“And all they in the synagogue, when they heard these
things, were filled with wrath,
And rose up, and thrust him out of the city, and led
him unto the brow of the hill whereon their city was built,
that they might cast him down headlong.
But he passing through the midst of them went his
way.”
Now, notice, Christ is testifying to them that the
Coming of the Messiah had been fulfilled, that the Coming of
the Lord, the Coming of the anointed One had been fulfilled;
and there was the anointed One, anointed with the Spirit of
God, to carry out the fulfillment of everything that was
promised for that time.
And now, notice, they didn’t like the Message He
preached to them: all those in the synagogue were filled with
wrath (and they had gone to worship God, so they should
have been filled with Love Divine, not with wrath). They
were filled with wrath, they rose up, people among the
congregation rose up, filled with wrath, in other words, they
disrupted the service (not Jesus, but those who disagreed with
Jesus), they took Him out of the synagogue, they led Him to aTHE NEED FOR REVELATION 15
cliff in the city because they wanted to throw Him down; but
He left, He went through the midst of them, because the day
and the hour of His death had not yet come.
Now, they led him to the brow [hilltop]:
“...And led him unto the brow of the hill whereon their
city was built, that they might cast him down headlong.”
But, when He got to that place, He passed through the
midst of them and went somewhere else.
Now notice what happened to Jesus, despite being the
fulfillment of the Coming of the Messiah.
Now, they needed to have revelation from Heaven in
order to know that this young carpenter from Nazareth, this
young construction worker, was the Messiah promised to the
Hebrew people, was the King of Israel coming in a simple
way to fulfill the promises of the First Coming of the
Messiah.
But: “He came unto his own,” (the Hebrew people),
“and his own received him not,” because they didn’t have the
revelation from Heaven to understand that the promised
Messiah was there, among them. The Hebrew religion didn’t
have that revelation, their religious leaders didn’t have that
revelation; only those among the people who were able to
obtain that revelation from Heaven knew that Jesus of
Nazareth was the promised Messiah.
And now, notice how it happened two thousand years
ago, and how the revelation from Heaven was required in
order to obtain the knowledge of who Jesus was, and to
understand that He was the Son of man, the promised
Messiah coming among the Hebrew people.
And now, we are living at the end time, for which we
have the promise of the Second Coming of Christ, which is
the second part of the Coming of the Lord; and the Coming of
the Lord at the Last Day is as the Lion of the tribe of Judah,
as King of kings and Lord of lords, in His Claiming Work.
And for this end time, the revelation from Heaven is also16 DR. WILLIAM SOTO SANTIAGO
required because no one without the revelation from
Heaven—no one will be able to understand the mystery of the
Second Coming of Christ being fulfilled at the Last Day. This
revelation from Heaven, according to what is established by
God, will come to those whose names have been written in
the Lamb’s Book of Life before the foundation of the world.
Now, notice how Christ said that :“No man knows,”
(no one understands), “who the Son is, but the Father; and no
man knows who the Father is, but the Son and he to whom
the Son will reveal Him.”9 At the Last Day, when Christ will
be fulfilling the second part of His Coming (which is the
Second Coming of Christ as the Lion of the tribe of Judah, as
King of kings and Lord of lords), no one will know that
mystery but God and those to whom God, Jesus Christ, will
reveal it.
And now, just like the revelation of the First Coming
of Christ came through Jesus Christ… because the Son is the
One who revealed the Coming of the Messiah two thousand
years ago: no man knew who the Son was, but the Father, and
no man knew who the Father was, but the Son, “and he to
whom the Son will reveal Him,” Jesus Christ said. And where
was the Father? He was inside the Son, He was inside Jesus
of Nazareth.
And now, on one occasion, we find Philip asking
Jesus a very important question when Jesus was talking about
the House of our Heavenly Father. In chapter 14 of Saint
John, it says:
“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God,
believe also in me.
In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were
not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come
again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye
9 Luke 10:22; Matthew 11:27THE NEED FOR REVELATION 17
may be also.
And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither
thou goest; and how can we know the way?
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the
life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father
also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it
sufficeth us.
Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with
you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath
seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then,
Show us the Father?
Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the
Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of
myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the
works.
Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in
me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake.”
And here we can see how Philip wanted Jesus to show
him the Father, but where was the Father? The Father was
inside Jesus; because it was none other than the Coming of
God, the Coming of the Angel of the Covenant, of the Angel
of the Lord, in human flesh. This is what was promised by
God through the Prophet Malachi in chapter 3, when he spoke
of the Coming of the Messiah.
The Coming of the Messiah is none other than the
Coming of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the Angel
of the Covenant, the Angel of the Lord, clothed in human
flesh in a Man living in the time of the fulfillment of that
promise.
In Malachi chapter 3, verse 1, it says:
“Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall
prepare the way before me…”18 DR. WILLIAM SOTO SANTIAGO
That was John the Baptist, the forerunner of the First
Coming of Christ.
Likewise, for the Second Coming of Christ, God
would send a forerunner in the Spirit and power of Elijah; and
that was Rev. William Branham, who already came and went,
for those who are willing to receive him. He is the Elijah
which was to come, according to Malachi chapter 4, turning
the heart of the children to their fathers; because John the
Apostle turned the heart of the fathers to the children, by
turning the heart of the fathers under the Law to the faith of
the apostles, to the Christian faith.
And now, at the end time, the hearts of the children
will be converted to the faith of the apostles, which was
carried out by the forerunner of the Second Coming of Christ,
Rev. William Branham, who came in the Spirit and power of
Elijah in his fourth manifestation. But here, in this passage,
we are reading about the forerunner of the First Coming of
Christ, who would be preparing the way of the Lord; and then
the Lord, the Angel or Messenger of the Covenant, would
suddenly come to His Temple, like it says here. It says:
“...And the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come
to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye
delight in…”
Who would come after John the Baptist, the
forerunner of the First Coming of Christ? The Lord would
come, the Angel of the Covenant, in other words, the Angel
of the Lord. He is the One who would come clothed in human
flesh as the Messiah promised to the Hebrew people; and in
Jesus of Nazareth, the Coming of the Angel of the Covenant,
the Coming of the Messiah, was fulfilled. That is why here in
Malachi it says it is the Coming of the Lord, of the Angel or
Messenger of the Covenant, for whom John the Baptist, the
forerunner of the First Coming of Christ, would be preparing
the way.
“...Behold, he shall come, saith the Lord of hosts.”THE NEED FOR REVELATION 19
In Isaiah chapter 40, we also have the prophecy of the
forerunner and the One forerun, where it says, starting on…
In chapter 40, verse 3 and on, Isaiah says:
“The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness,
Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a
highway for our God.
Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and
hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made
straight, and the rough places plain:
And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all
flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the Lord hath
spoken it.”
And when was this promise fulfilled (which is the
promise of the coming of the forerunner of the First Coming
of Christ and the Coming of Christ)?
The coming of the forerunner was fulfilled in John the
Baptist, who came in the Spirit and power of Elijah in his
third manifestation; and he was the Elijah which was to come.
Christ Himself says: “If you will receive it, this is Elias,
which was to come.” Saint Matthew chapter 11, verse 14.
And in Saint Matthew chapter 17, verse 10 and on,
when Jesus came down from Mount Transfiguration, His
disciples came to Him… it says:
“And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the
scribes that Elias must first come?
And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly
shall first come, and restore all things.
But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and
they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they
listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them.
Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them
of John the Baptist.”
Now, notice, when Christ says: “Elias has come
already, and they knew him not,” who is He talking about?
John the Baptist, the forerunner of the First Coming of20 DR. WILLIAM SOTO SANTIAGO
Christ.
Now, notice how the revelation from Heaven was
needed in order to know that John the Baptist was the
forerunner of the First Coming of Christ (he was the Elijah
who had to come at that time), and also in order to know the
Coming of the Messiah fulfilled in Jesus of Nazareth.
Now, we can see that the Coming of the Messiah was
the Coming of the Angel of the Covenant, of the Angel of the
Lord, where the glory of God would be manifested here on
Earth in human flesh.
Now, it goes on to say:
“The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry?
All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the
flower of the field:
The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the
spirit of the Lord bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass.
The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of
our God shall stand for ever.
O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee up into the
high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift
up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto
the cities of Judah, Behold your God!
Behold, the Lord God will come with strong hand, and
his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward is with him,
and his work before him.”
Now notice how when John the Baptist was
introducing Jesus of Nazareth as the Lamb of God that took
away the sin of the world,10 he was introducing the God of
Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of Israel, manifested in
human flesh, clothed in a human Body called Jesus. It was the
Coming of God, the Coming of the Angel of the Covenant, of
the Angel of the Lord, the Coming of the God of Abraham,
Isaac, and Jacob, among the Hebrew people.
10 John 1:29, 1:36THE NEED FOR REVELATION 21
That is why in chapter 10 of Saint John, when Jesus
Christ is speaking, and also in chapter 8, He shows us who He
is. Notice, in chapter 8, verse 56 and on, of Saint John, He
says:
“Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he
saw it, and was glad.
Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty
years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?
Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you,
Before Abraham was, I am.
Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid
himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst
of them, and so passed by.”
Now notice how Jesus tells them that Abraham desired
to see His day, he saw it and was glad. They tell him: “You
are not yet fifty years old, and You say You have seen
Abraham?” In other words they are calling Him a liar. But,
how is it that Abraham saw the Lord’s Day and was glad?
When Elohim, who is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob,
the I AM who had appeared to Moses later on, but had also
appeared to Abraham on different occasions, now appears to
Abraham the day before the destruction of Sodom and
Gomorrah, He appears to him with His Archangels Gabriel
and Michael.11
Out of the dust of the ground, God created visible
bodies that Gabriel and the Archangel Michael went into; and
God also went into the other Body that He created there out
of the dust of the ground so that He could have a temporary,
visible manifestation, to visit Abraham in that Body.
And when He appeared to Abraham there,
materialized with His Archangels Gabriel and Michael, we
find that when Abraham saw Him, he bowed down before one
of them (which was Elohim, God, the God of Abraham) and
11 Genesis 1822 DR. WILLIAM SOTO SANTIAGO
invited Him to eat. And Elohim accepted the invitation; and
Elohim (which is God, which is Jesus Christ Himself) was
there, and Gabriel and Michael, God’s mighty Archangels,
were also there eating with Abraham. And Abraham was
rejoicing to see Elohim, God, materialized with His
Archangels Gabriel and Michael, eating the calf tender that
Abraham had prepared for Him, and the bread he had
prepared for Him, and all the food that Abraham had prepared
for God, who was materialized there with His Archangels
Gabriel and Michael the day before the destruction of Sodom
and Gomorrah.
Then Gabriel and Michael went down to Sodom and
Gomorrah like that, materialized; and then, later on, God also
went down. And by the next morning, Sodom and Gomorrah
were destroyed.
Now, that was the occasion in which Abraham desired
to see His day, he saw it, and was glad; he saw the
materialization of Christ, the Messiah, ahead of time; he was
able to see the Angel of the Lord materialized in a visible
form even before the First Coming of Christ was fulfilled.
That Angel of the Covenant, the Angel of the Lord, is
Jesus Christ Himself in His theophanic Body, because He is
the same God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. “In the
beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and
the Word was God. And the Word was made flesh,” (in other
words, He made Himself flesh), “and dwelt among us,” and
we knew Him by the Name of Jesus. Saint John chapter 1,
verse 1 to 18. “No man has seen God at any time, the only
begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, He has
declared Him.”
It was the manifestation of God in human flesh, it was
the manifestation of God with His theophanic Body inside a
Body of flesh called Jesus. It was none other than this Angel
of the Covenant who had also appeared to the Prophet Moses,
and had delivered the Hebrew people from bondage in Egypt;THE NEED FOR REVELATION 23
of whom Exodus chapter 23, verse 20 and on, says:
“Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in
the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have
prepared.
Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not;
for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in
him.”
Where is the Name of God, the Eternal Name of God?
Well, His Name is in His Angel. The Name of God is in that
Angel of the Lord because that Angel of the Lord is God
Himself in His theophanic Body; therefore, that theophanic
Body of God is called by the Eternal Name of God.
“But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all
that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and
an adversary unto thine adversaries.
For mine Angel shall go before thee, and bring thee in
unto the Amorites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the
Canaanites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites: and I will cut them
off.” (In other words, He will bring them into the promised
land.)
And now, notice that this Angel of the Covenant or
Angel of the Lord was made flesh; He is the Word, that Angel
of the Lord, who was made flesh and dwelt among the
Hebrew people, and was known by the Name of Jesus, our
Savior. He is our Savior: He saved the Hebrew people and He
has saved us.
And now, we have the promise of the Second Coming
of the Angel of the Lord, the Angel of the Covenant, called
“the Second Coming of Christ” in the Scripture. At the end
time, this Angel of the Covenant, which is the Word that was
with God and was God… because the Word, which was with
God and was God, is God Himself in His theophanic Body;
that theophanic Body is called “the Word.”
And in the time of Jesus of Nazareth, the Word, which
was with God and was God (meaning, God in His theophanic24 DR. WILLIAM SOTO SANTIAGO
Body), was made flesh, and dwelt among the Hebrew people,
and was known by the Name of Jesus; He came as the Lamb
of God to take away the sin of the world. And at the Last Day,
the second part of the Coming of the Angel of the Covenant,
the Coming of the Word, will be as the Lion of the tribe of
Judah, as King of kings and Lord of lords, in His Claiming
Work; and having the revelation from Heaven is required in
order to understand the mystery of the Second Coming of
Christ being fulfilled at the Last Day.
Christ spoke of the Coming of the Son of man at the
Last Day, and Christ told us that the Coming of the Son of
man would happen in a time that was parallel to the days of
Noah, and also to the days of Lot.12
Now, in the days of Noah, there was a dispensational
prophet on Earth, which was Noah. And in the days of Lot
there was also a dispensational prophet on Earth, which was
Abraham; he was the prophet of the fourth dispensation, that
is, the Dispensation of Promise. And since, “Surely the Lord
God will do nothing without first revealing His secrets to His
servants, His prophets,”13 in the time of Noah, God revealed
to the Prophet Noah what He would do at that time; God
could not destroy the human race without first revealing it to
Noah, His dispensational prophet. And in the time of Sodom
and Gomorrah, in the time of Lot, when God was going to
destroy Sodom and Gomorrah, He could not destroy Sodom
and Gomorrah without revealing it to a prophet; and He
revealed it to His Prophet Abraham, who is a dispensational
prophet.
When God is going to carry out a major event of His
Program, He will always have a dispensational prophet on
Earth, to whom He reveals what He will do, and that prophet
reveals it to the human race.
12 Matthew 24:37-39; Luke 17:26-30
13 Amos 3:7THE NEED FOR REVELATION 25
And now, notice what Jesus tells us in chapter 24 of
Saint Matthew, verse 27; He says:
“For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and
shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the
Son of man be.”
Now, the Coming of the Son of man at the Last Day
will be as the lightning that comes out of the East, where the
First Coming of Christ, the Coming of the Son of man, was
fulfilled: in the East, that is, in the Middle East, which is the
land of Israel, where the First Coming of Christ, the Coming
of the Son of man, was fulfilled.
And now, where did the First Coming of Christ come
out of? The East, the land of Israel. And the Coming of the
Son of man is manifested, It shines, where? In the West, at the
Last Day, “As the lightning comes out of the East and shines
(where?) in the West.” And the West is the continent of the
Americas, where the seventh Gentile Church age was already
fulfilled in the northern part of the continent of the Americas,
where God sent the forerunner of the Second Coming of
Christ, Rev. William Branham: He sent him in the Spirit and
power of Elijah, forerunning the Second Coming of Christ.
And now all that’s left of the West is Latin America and the
Caribbean, for the fulfillment of the Coming of the Son of
man as the lightning shining in the West.
And the forerunner of the Second Coming of Christ
said that the Son of man will be manifested at this end time.
He is the One whose way the forerunner of the Second
Coming of Christ was preparing: he was preparing the way of
the Angel of the Covenant, the Angel of the Lord, who will
come manifested in human flesh at the Last Day. And the
revelation from Heaven is required in order to see the Coming
of the Son of man manifested in human flesh, which is the
Coming of the Angel of the Covenant at this end time—like
the Coming of the Angel of the Covenant two thousand years
ago: It was the Coming of the Angel of the Lord, the God of26 DR. WILLIAM SOTO SANTIAGO
Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, manifested in human flesh in that
young carpenter of Nazareth called Jesus.
And at the Last Day, again we will have the Coming
of the Son of man, the Coming of the Angel of the Covenant,
the Angel of the Lord, manifested in human flesh as the Lion
of the tribe of Judah, as King of kings and Lord of lords, in
His Claiming Work.
Now, Jesus said that it would be as the days of Noah
were. Notice, chapter 24, verse 37 and on, of Saint Matthew,
says:
“But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the
coming of the Son of man be.
For as in the days that were before the flood they were
eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until
the day that Noe entered into the ark,
And knew not until the flood came, and took them all
away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”
Now notice how Jesus Christ says that it’s like the
days of Noah, where they didn’t know. What didn’t they
know or understand? What they had to understand about the
Divine Program, which had been revealed to the Prophet
Noah. Those things that had been revealed to Noah and that
Noah was preaching, they couldn’t understand them; and
because they didn’t understand, the flood came, and took
them all away.
Those who are ignorant of what God is doing in each
age and in each dispensation, have received the Divine
Judgments; but those who have understood because they
received the revelation from Heaven, have received the
blessings of Heaven.
Now, as the days of Noah were, so shall the Coming
of the Son of man be at this end time, where mankind will not
understand; and where God will hide from the wise and
prudent in theological issues, in doctorates of divinity—God
will hide this mystery of the Second Coming of Christ fromTHE NEED FOR REVELATION 27
them: the mystery of the Coming of the Son of man with His
Angels, the mystery of the Coming of the Angel of the
Covenant, the Coming of the Word being made flesh again at
the Last Day. This mystery will only be revealed to all of
God’s sons and daughters from Heaven.
And through the manifestation of the Angel of the
Covenant, the Angel of the Lord, which is the Word being
made flesh at the Last Day, that revelation will come to all of
God’s sons and daughters who will be living at this end time.
And that is the revelation from Heaven, from the Heavenly
Father, for all those who are waiting for the Coming of the
Son of man at this end time, which is the Coming of the
Angel of the Covenant, the Angel of the Lord, the God of
Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, who will come manifested in
human flesh at this end time.
And now, let’s see through the Scripture what this
great blessing will be like, which the Church of Jesus Christ
will be receiving at this end time. In Saint Matthew chapter
16, verses 27 to 28, Christ says:
“For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his
Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man
according to his works.”
How will the Son of man come at the Last Day? He
will come with His Angels, to reward every man according to
his works.
“Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here,
which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man
coming in his kingdom.”
Chapter 17 of Saint Matthew:
“And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and
John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain
apart,
And was transfigured before them: and his face did
shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.
And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and28 DR. WILLIAM SOTO SANTIAGO
Elias talking with him.
Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is
good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three
tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for
Elias.
While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud
overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud,
which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well
pleased; hear ye him.”
Now notice here how Christ is showing Peter, James,
and John—in this vision of Mount Transfiguration, He is
showing them the Coming of the Kingdom of God; and He is
showing them the Coming of the Son of man with His
Angels. That is why Moses and Elijah appear on either side of
the Lord: because in the Coming of the Son of man with His
Angels to this Earth, Moses and Elijah will appear. Those are
the ministries of the Two Olive Trees of Revelation chapter
11, verse 3 and on, and Zechariah chapter 4. The ministries of
Moses and Elijah are promised to be manifested at this end
time, in the Coming of the Son of man.
And just as the ministry of Elijah was on Earth in
Elijah the Tishbite, which was the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of
Christ manifested in Elijah the Tishbite, operating that
ministry—and then He was in Elisha for the second time, in a
double portion (the Holy Spirit was operating the ministry of
Elijah in a double portion); and then the Holy Spirit was in
John the Baptist for the third time.
The Archangel Gabriel said that John, who would be
born of Elisabeth,* he told Zacharias the Priest that he [John]
would be filled with the Holy Spirit even from his mother’s
womb. And he also told him that he would come in the Spirit
and power of Elijah, to make ready a people and have a
people prepared for His Coming, and that he would comeTHE NEED FOR REVELATION 29
turning the hearts of the fathers to the children.14
And now, we find John the Baptist filled with the Holy
Spirit, in his ministry forerunning the First Coming of Christ;
and the ministry of Elijah was being operated for the third
time in him.
The Holy Spirit operated the ministry of Elijah for the
third time in John the Baptist; and that is why Jesus said that
John the Baptist is the Elias which was to come: Saint
Matthew chapter 11, verse 14, and Saint Matthew chapter 17,
verses 10 to 13; and also the Archangel Gabriel in Saint Luke
chapter 1, verses 14 to 20.
Now we can see how when God promises to send a
prophet that He has already sent in the past, it is the coming
of the ministry of that prophet in another prophet, in another
man from the present time in which God fulfills that promise.
Then, the fourth manifestation of Elijah’s ministry was
fulfilled to forerun the Second Coming of Christ; and it was
fulfilled in Rev. William Branham, who came with the Spirit
of Christ manifested in him, operating the ministry of Elijah
for the fourth time; and thus, turning the hearts of the children
to the faith of the apostles, to the faith of the fathers (the
apostles), to make a people ready for the Second Coming of
Christ.
And when he announced the Second Coming of Christ
and said how Christ, the Angel of the Covenant, the Angel of
the Lord, would come, he gave us many details regarding the
Coming of the Son of man; he told us that would be
Revelation 19, it would be the white-horse Rider of
Revelation 19 coming.
And now, notice that the white-horse Rider of
Revelation 19 coming is the Coming of the Word coming at
the Last Day.
And the Word came two thousand years ago, and He
14 Luke 1:5-1730 DR. WILLIAM SOTO SANTIAGO
was the Son of man in His First Coming as the Lamb of God
to take away the sin of the world. It was the Coming of the
Word made flesh among the Hebrew people, It was the
Coming of the Angel of the Lord, the Angel of the Covenant.
And that is why He was able to carry out the Work of
Redemption through His veil of flesh called Jesus, who was
offered as a living Sacrifice on Calvary’s Cross, so that after
He died, He could rise and then ascend to Heaven in that
glorified Body, and apply His own Blood offered for sin in
the Holy of Holies of the Temple which is in Heaven, in order
to make intercession in the Temple which is in Heaven—not
in earthly temples anymore, but in God’s Temple in Heaven:
to make intercession for every son and daughter of God, for
every person whose name has been written in the Lamb’s
Book of Life before the foundation of the world; for the
reconciliation of every person whose name is written in the
Lamb’s Book of Life, for every person to be reconciled to
God.
We are only reconciled to God through the Sacrifice of
Christ on Calvary’s Cross, which was typified in the sacrifice
of the goat that the high priest offered there in the temple on
the tenth day of the seventh month of each year.
And now, the High Priest of the Temple which is in
Heaven, who is Melchizedek, our beloved Lord Jesus Christ,
has offered His own Sacrifice as the Lamb of God in the
Temple which is in Heaven, and He took His precious Blood
there; and with that Blood, He has been making intercession
for the heavenly Israel, just as the high priest made
intercession for the earthly Israel with the atoning blood.
And now, in the Temple which is in Heaven, Christ
has been making intercession for the heavenly Israel, which is
His Church, made up of those who have been born again,
those who have been redeemed by the Blood of our beloved
Lord Jesus Christ and have been reconciled to God.THE NEED FOR REVELATION 31
That is why Saint Paul says: “Be reconciled to God
today,”15 and it’s through the Sacrifice of Jesus Christ on
Calvary’s Cross.
And now, notice why Christ ascended to Heaven:
because He had to go to the Temple which is in Heaven to
apply His Sacrifice for sin, to apply His Blood there and make
intercession for every one of God’s sons and daughters.
And now, we can see the mystery of the First Coming
of Christ and His Work of Redemption on Calvary’s Cross,
and His Work of Intercession in Heaven, in the Temple which
is in Heaven, just like in the temple Moses built and also in
the temple Solomon built, the high priest made intercession
there by offering God the atoning blood of the goat on the
mercy seat.
Now, all those things that were carried out among the
Hebrew people are a type and figure of what would be carried
out in Heaven, in the Temple of God.
And now we can see how Christ as High Priest, not of
the Levitical order, but of the Order of Melchizedek…
because He is the Melchizedek who appeared to Abraham,
and Abraham paid Him tithes, and Melchizedek gave
Abraham bread and wine.16 Now we can see that He is the
King of Salem (meaning, of Jerusalem), and He is also the
Priest of the Most High God of the Temple which is in
Heaven. So we have a High Priest in the Temple which is in
Heaven making intercession for all of us.
And when the very last elect of God comes in, He will
finish His Work of Intercession in Heaven: He will come out
and raise the dead in Christ, because He will claim all those
He has redeemed with His precious Blood; and He will raise
those who have departed, and change us who are alive; and
thus we will be completely—not only in spirit, but also in
15 2 Corinthians 5:20
16 Genesis 14:18-2032 DR. WILLIAM SOTO SANTIAGO
body—reconciled to God, and we will be in the image and
likeness of our beloved Lord Jesus Christ.
Now, for this end time, we have the promise of the
Coming of the Son of man with His Angels, the Coming of
the Son of man, the Coming of the Lord, the Coming of the
Angel of the Covenant being manifested at the Last Day.
And now let’s see how He, Christ, in the Book of
Revelation, promises the Coming of the Son of man, which
the forerunner of the Second Coming of Christ tells us about;
in the Book The Revelation Of The Seven Seals, pages 151 to
152 [paragraphs 283-285, 289], he tells us:
“And, Jesus, His Name on earth was ‘Redeemer,’
Jesus. When He was on earth, He was the Redeemer, that’s
true. But when He conquered death and hell, and overcome
them, and ascended on High, He received a new Name.
That’s the reason you holler the way they do, and they don’t
get nothing.
It’ll be revealed in the Thunders,” (in other words, in
the Thunders of Revelation chapter 10). “Uh-huh. See?
Notice the mysteries. He is coming, riding…There’s got to be
Something to change this Church. You know that. There’s got
to be Something. Notice, ‘No man knowed, but Himself.’ Now,
notice, ‘No man knowed, but Hisself.’
And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood:
and his name was called The Word of God.
Oh, my! Notice!
And the armies which were in heaven followed him
upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
And out of his mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it
he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod
of iron: and he tread the winepress of the fierceness and the
wrath of Almighty God.
And he had on his vesture and on his thigh a name
written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.”
(Revelation 19:13-16)THE NEED FOR REVELATION 33
“There comes the Messiah. There He is…”
Now notice what the Coming of the Lord, the Coming
of the Messiah, the Coming of the Son of man, will be at the
Last Day: It is the Coming of the white-horse Rider of
Revelation 19.
“...But Christ is called ‘The Word of God.’ That’s
what He is. He is called that. Now He’s got a Name that no
man knows; but He’s called, ‘The Word of God.’”
Now notice what Revelation 19 will be: It is the
Coming of the Word of God, the Angel of the Covenant, the
Word that was made flesh two thousand years ago in that
young carpenter from Nazareth named Jesus.
At the Last Day, the Word, the Angel of the Covenant,
will come manifested in a veil of flesh again; and let’s see
that mystery of the Coming of the Angel of the Covenant. The
forerunner of the Second Coming of Christ tells us on pages
154 to 155 [paragraph 302]:
“Glory! Notice! And when this Holy Spirit that we
have becomes incarnate to us, the One that’s in our midst
now in the form of the Holy Ghost, becomes incarnate to us,
in the Person of Jesus Christ, we’ll crown Him King of
kings,” and Lord of lords.
And now, on page 318 [paragraph 391] of the Book
The Revelation Of The Seven Seals, it says (while the
forerunner of the Second Coming of Christ, Rev. William
Branham, was praying, he said):
“…May the Holy Spirit come down now, the whitehorse Rider …”
Who is the white-horse Rider? The Holy Spirit, who is
the Angel of the Covenant, in other words, Jesus Christ in
Holy Spirit.
“…While His Spirit, Spirit of Christ, in the face of
antichrist, and call His Own.”
Now we have the promise that the Angel of the
Covenant, who is Jesus Christ in Holy Spirit, will come to His34 DR. WILLIAM SOTO SANTIAGO
Church.
On page 168 [paragraph 402] of the Book The
Revelation Of The Seven Seals again, it says:
“…The Holy Spirit goes up and comes down in
carnate men. Amen.”
Now, the Holy Spirit, which is the Angel of the
Covenant, Jesus Christ in Holy Spirit, at the Last Day we find
that He will go up from the seventh age of the Gentile Church
to the Age of the Cornerstone, and there, He will come
incarnate in a Man.
In each angel-messenger of the seven Gentile Church
ages, He was manifested in human flesh in the portion
relevant to each age; but at the Last Day, once again He will
be manifested in human flesh in a Man, who must be the
Messenger of the Age of the Cornerstone.
And that is the Angel of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the
Messenger, the Prophet-Messenger of the Dispensation of the
Kingdom, who will be present at the Last Day, once the
Dispensation of Grace, the sixth dispensation, has reached the
end time, when the sixth dispensation will end. That is when
he must be present; for the sixth dispensation to end, the
Angel of the Lord Jesus Christ must be present, who is the
Prophet of the Dispensation of the Kingdom, with the
Message of the Dispensation of the Kingdom, to call and
gather all of God’s elect, being anointed of the Holy Spirit,
being anointed by the Angel of the Covenant, by Jesus Christ
in Holy Spirit, in whom Christ will operate the ministries of
Moses, Elijah, and Jesus.
And that is how the Angel of the Covenant, the God of
Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the Angel of the Lord, who came
incarnate in a Man named Jesus two thousand years ago, will
be: He will be on Earth again, manifested in human flesh,
incarnate in another man of the Last Day, who will be the
Angel of Jesus Christ; and through him, first He will be
speaking to His Church and then He will speak to the HebrewTHE NEED FOR REVELATION 35
people.
Now notice what it says:
“The Holy Spirit goes up and comes down in carnate
men. Amen.”
That Man is the Angel-Messenger of the Age of the
Cornerstone, which is the Angel of Jesus Christ, and which is
also the Angel-Messenger of the Dispensation of the
Kingdom.
Now, on page 295 [paragraph 196] of the Book The
Revelation Of The Seven Seals, the forerunner of the Second
Coming of Christ, Rev. William Branham, says:
“But when our Lord appears here on earth, He’ll be
riding on a snow-white horse. And He’ll be completely, fully,
the Emmanuel, the Word of God incarnate in a Man.”
The Word of God incarnate in a Man, the Word
incarnate in a Man, the Angel of the Covenant incarnate in a
Man, the Angel of the Covenant manifested in human flesh in
a Man, in the Angel of the Lord Jesus Christ; that is the
Coming of the white-horse Rider of Revelation 19, that is the
Coming of the Angel who was different from the rest, who
appeared in that mysterious cloud on February 28, 1963, who
has the Seventh Seal; and the Seventh Seal is the Coming of
the Lord, the Coming of Christ, the Coming of the Angel of
the Covenant, coming at the Last Day.
Now, we can see the mystery of the Coming of the
Angel of the Covenant at the Last Day like the days of Noah;
and the revelation from Heaven, the revelation of God, is
required in order to understand this mystery of the Coming of
the Son of man, the Coming of the Angel of the Covenant, the
Coming of the Angel of the Lord, the God of Abraham, Isaac,
and Jacob, clothed in human flesh at the Last Day.
Now, let’s see what our beloved messenger of the
seventh Gentile Church age says. On page 1 of this message,
in an excerpt of the message “God’s Only Provided Place Of
Worship,” paragraph 6, says:36 DR. WILLIAM SOTO SANTIAGO
“Now, there’s…I was…getting pretty old, and I
thought, ‘Will I…Will there be another revival, I’ll see
another time?’ And just remember, from the west will come a
white horse rider. We’ll ride this trail again. That’s right.
Soon as we get ready. It’s a promise, you see.”
Now, where does that white-horse Rider come from
according to Revelation 19? From the West, which is the
Latin American and Caribbean territory; because the West is
the Western part of the Earth, and the Western part of the
Earth is the continent of the Americas, and the continent of
the Americas consists of North America, Central America,
South America, and the Caribbean; and in the northern part,
the seventh age of the Gentile Church was already fulfilled,
and God sent His forerunner, the forerunner of the Second
Coming of Christ. And now all that’s left is Central America,
South America, and the Caribbean, for the Coming of the
white-horse Rider of Revelation 19, for the Coming of the
Holy Spirit, the Angel of the Covenant, the white-horse Rider
of Revelation 19, incarnate in a Man.
That is the Word, the Word incarnate in a Man; that is
the Angel of the Covenant, which is the Word coming clothed
in human flesh in the Angel-Messenger of Jesus Christ. That
is why Jesus says:
“I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these
things in the churches.”
He, the Angel of Jesus Christ, comes sent by Christ to
testify all these things which must shortly come to pass at this
end time.
And that is why the revelation of Jesus Christ to His
Church is sent through His Angel-Messenger at the Last Day:
because Jesus Christ in Holy Spirit, the Angel of the
Covenant, will be manifested in His Angel-Messenger; the
Holy Spirit will be in His Angel-Messenger, giving us the
revelation of the Second Coming of Christ, the revelation of
the Coming of the Son of man with His Angels. That is whyTHE NEED FOR REVELATION 37
Revelation chapter 1, verse 1 and on (1 to 3) says the
following:
“The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto
him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly
come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto
his servant John…”
By whom did the revelation of Jesus Christ come to
Saint John the Apostle? By the Angel of the Lord Jesus
Christ.
And through this Angel-Messenger of Jesus Christ, the
revelation of all these things which must shortly come to pass,
comes to all the Church of Jesus Christ. That is why
Revelation chapter 4, verse 1, says:
“After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in
heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a
trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I
will shew thee things which must be hereafter.”
All the things which must happen after the things that
have already happened in the seven stages or ages of the
Gentile Church, during these two thousand years that we have
had or that have passed since Christ, now the things which
must happen at this end time, Christ promises to make them
known.
And now, how will Christ make them known? In
Revelation chapter 22, verse 6 and on, it says:
“And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and
true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to
shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be
done.”
Whom has He sent? His Angel-Messenger. What for?
To show His servants the things which must shortly be done.
All the things which must shortly be done at this end time are
shown through the Angel of Jesus Christ sent by Jesus Christ
for that purpose.
And receiving the revelation from Heaven is required38 DR. WILLIAM SOTO SANTIAGO
in order to understand all these Divine mysteries that will be
fulfilled at this end time; and that revelation from Heaven
comes to all of God’s sons and daughters through the Angel
of Jesus Christ: “I Jesus have sent My Angel to testify unto
you these things which must shortly be done.” Revelation 22,
verse 16:
“I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these
things in the churches.”
Christ sends His Angel-Messenger to His Church at
this end time. And to every group among Christianity, Jesus
Christ sends His Angel-Messenger testifying all these things
which must shortly be done so that they may understand and
receive the fulfillment of the Coming of the Son of man with
His Angels at this end time. There is no other way to be able
to understand the mystery of the Coming of the Son of man at
the Last Day; because that is the mystery of the Coming of
the Angel of the Covenant, the Angel of the Lord, clothing
Himself in human flesh at the Last Day.
And in the manifestation of the Angel of the
Covenant, of the Angel of the Lord, which is Jesus Christ in
Holy Spirit clothing Himself in human flesh in the veil of
flesh called the Angel of Jesus Christ, at the Last Day, to
make known to us all these things which must shortly be
done: no one will be able to understand this mystery of this
manifestation of Jesus Christ, the Angel of the Covenant, in
human flesh at the Last Day; and no one will know who the
Angel of the Lord Jesus Christ is, but the Lord Jesus Christ;
and no one will know who the Lord Jesus Christ manifested
at the Last Day in the fulfillment of the Coming of the Son of
man is, but His Angel-Messenger

182 Now that’s what’s the reason today, that, the—the revivals that we’re supposed to have, we
have denominational revivals. We haven’t had a real stirring. No, no, no. No, sir. Don’t think we
got revivals. We haven’t. Oh, they’ve got millions and millions and millions of church members,
but not a revival nowhere. No. No.
183 The—the Bride hasn’t had a revival yet. See? There’s been no revival there, no
manifestation of God to stir the Bride yet. See? We’re looking for it now. It’ll take those seven
unknown Thunders back there, to wake Her up again, see. Yeah. He’ll send it. He promised it.

179 Now, we had him coming, last night, with his great sword, to kill.
180 We find out that he gets killed with the sword, too, the sword of the Word. God’s Word,
sharp, two-edged sword, slays him, puts him right down. Wait till them Seven Thunders utter
Their voices to that group who really can take the Word of God and hand It there, It’ll slice and
cut. And they can close the heavens. They can shut this, or do that, whatever they want to.

304 …You notice. Notice now, for the end-of-time Message, this Seal. After all, He—He has
revealed all the six Seals, but He don’t say nothing about the Seventh. And the end-time Seal,
when It starts, will be absolutely a total secret, according to the Bible, before knowing That. And2
remember, Revelation 10:1-7, 1 to 7, chapter 10:1 to 7, “At the end of the seventh angel’s
Message, all the mysteries of God would be known.” We’re at the end time, the opening of the
Seventh Seal.
305 Now, how did I know? The other day, last Sunday, a week ago today, when I was preaching
on “Be humble! Be humble! Remember, God deals in little things.” I didn’t realize what it really
was talking about. And now I see it. It is in such a humble way! You would think that something
like that would be revealed to the Vatican or…But It comes just like John the Baptist. It comes
like the birth of our Lord, in a stable. Glory to God! So help me, the hour is at hand! Amen!
We’re here. Oh, my!
THE VISION OF THE GREAT TENT-CATHEDRAL – VOL. I
Pages 70-73 of the Book in Spanish
“God Attracting His Prophet”
Dr. William Soto Santiago
Sunday, March 20, 1977
Cayey, Puerto Rico
He would introduce the Trumpets with the Vials and the Plagues; and up until 1965, he had the
desire to establish a Tent. What for? To carry out those meetings; and in the Tent is where he
was going to preach about the Trumpets, the Vials, the Plagues, the Thunders, and all of that,
see?
In other words, the Message relevant to the preaching in the fulfillment of the Tent Vision... in
plain words, the Message that pertains to being under a Tent is which Message? The Thunders,
the Trumpets, the Vials, the Plagues, all of that is the Message to be preached under a Tent.
There is no other message.
So we see that according to the promise—God has to move, God has to work according to the
promise. And here you can see, notice, here you can see that no one, no one can take another’s
place; not even a prophet can take another prophet’s place. What God is going to do through one
prophet, if another prophet tries to do it, God doesn’t allow him to.
So we see that God is very jealous over this, and God doesn’t allow any of that to take place
unless it’s time.
And imagine… notice, pages 1 to 2 of the message “Looking At The Unseen,” notice one of the
things that would take place in the Tent Vision; it says in paragraphs 4 and 9:
“…That has been promised would come into existence in the tabernacle here, before we hit the
tent. Well, now, as far as I know, there was nothing no more than just…Just soon as I went in
there, the Spirit of the Lord came in, and It just started discerning the spirits, and telling the
people of their troubles and so forth…”
“…And it seem like that maybe it’s just going to continue on for a while, until that tent comes
in...”3
In other words, the discernment would continue until the Tent came in. How? Why? Brother
Branham says, “I went in the little room,” he went all the way into the little room there in the
tabernacle in Jeffersonville, Indiana to see if God was going to fulfill the Tent Vision in that little
room he had seen in the Tent; to see if, in that little room that was in the tabernacle, God did
according to that little room he saw. If God did that, then the fulfillment of the Tent Vision
would be fulfilled there.
So then the Tent that he saw would be that tabernacle, so... but he says that just as soon as he
went in there, instead of seeing what he saw in the Tent Vision, in the little room, what he saw
was that the Spirit of God continued to discern like It had been doing in public, he went in the
little room and the same thing continued to happen. Then brother Branham says:
“ And it seem like that maybe it’s just going to continue on for a while, until that tent comes
in…”
Now, we find that we don’t see anywhere in the Tent Vision that Brother Branham saw any
discernment service taking place, rather, what he saw taking place was something private in a
little room; nothing public; and it was not discernment, because he saw the patients when they
came out. And he said that was, what? The Third Pull.
See how the Third Pull, which is the spoken Word (which is in an unknown language), the last
thing left in the Third Pull is what? Under a Tent, in an unknown language. And it’s the Word,
see? So it all comes by the spoken Word; and the spoken Word would come in a language that
was not English. Well:
“…Up under the same ministry that I’ve had. Because, in the interviews today, there were four
great outstanding visions took place, in the interviews. So, seemingly, maybe, I will continue on
until that maybe the tent starts.”
In other words, he would continue with that ministry and with discernment until the Tent started;
and he was always saying that one day discernment would be taken away and something greater
would come. He says:
“… Until that maybe the tent starts, or wherever it is He has chosen to begin to declare His
Name in a new way,” (to declare what? His new Name). “But when It does, it’ll be just as perfect
as the others. It’ll be just…And I’m trusting to God that it will be greater than the others. Not
because of—of our ministry, but because of the sick and needy people. There’s such a need in the
land today.”
So it will be greater than the other two parts of the Third Pull, the last part will be greater than
the first two parts of the Third Pull. See? So we can see that it will be so great that he always
wanted to go into that last part of the Third Pull, and he knew that the last part would be under a
Tent, and that the new Name of the Lord would be proclaimed in a new way (the Name of the
Lord); It would be proclaimed in a new way. How? A new Name.
THE TRIUMPHAL ENTRY OF THE SON OF DAVID INTO JERUSALEM
Dr. William Soto Santiago

That is why in Revelation chapter 10, when Christ comes down from Heaven, He cries as when a
lion roars; because He comes as the Lion of the tribe of Judah, as King of kings and Lord of
lords, and Seven Thunders utter their Voices. It is the Voice of Christ speaking a complete
Message to us, a dispensational Message, through which He makes known to us the mystery of
His Coming, the mystery of the Coming of Christ as the Lion of the tribe of Judah, as King of
kings and Lord of lords in His Claiming Work.
Now, the things that Christ has promised to carry out at the Last Day, He will be carrying them
out through His anointed One; it’s through His anointed One that we will see the fulfillment of
the Divine Promises pertaining to the Last Day.
In Revelation chapter 1, verses 10 to 11, Saint John the Apostle tells us:
“I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day…”
On which day? On the Lord’s day. In other words, he was transported from the decade of the
‘90s of the fifth millennium—he was transported to this end time. In other words, He was
transported to the Last Day to see and hear the things that he saw and heard in these Apocalyptic
visions, visions and things that he saw and heard. And who showed them to him? Let’s read what
John says, and he can tell us himself who showed him these things. In Revelation chapter 22,
verses 6 to 10, he tells us:
“And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets
sent his angel,” that Angel is the anointed One of Jesus Christ for the Last Day. Now, why does
He send him? “To shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.”
No one will be able to understand these things which must shortly be done unless it’s through the
Message of the Angel of the Lord Jesus Christ, because he is sent to make these things known.
He is the only one who will understand these things, and then those who will receive him will be
able to understand them because they will be receiving His Message; and in His Message, these
things which must shortly be done will be revealed, and the things that have already happened
will be identified. He goes on to say:
“Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.”
Why are they blessed? Because these words are the words of Jesus Christ sent through His
Angel-Messenger. This is the Angel-Messenger who brings the revelation of Jesus Christ.
“And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to
worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things.”5
Who showed Saint John the Apostle all these things of the Book of Revelation? The Angel of the
Lord Jesus Christ.
And John wanted to worship him, but he forbade him because the Angel of the Lord Jesus Christ
is not the Lord Jesus Christ. The Angel of the Lord Jesus Christ is the Prophet-Messenger of the
Dispensation of the Kingdom, who comes with the revelation of Jesus Christ for the Last Day, to
have the ministry of the Last Day, of the seventh millennium; and through His Angel Messenger, for Jesus Christ to manifest Himself and speak to His Church all these things which
must happen. In other words, through His Angel-Messenger, Jesus Christ in Holy Spirit will be
manifesting Himself and speaking to His Church all these things which must shortly be done;
and He will be calling and gathering all of His elect with the Message of the Great Voice of
Trumpet, which is the Message of the Gospel of the Kingdom; the Message of the Gospel of the
Kingdom, which revolves around the Second Coming of Christ coming to the heavenly
Jerusalem and to the heavenly Israel, which is the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.
